Simple 12V to 220V 180W Inverter Circuit Diagram Using 2N3055

Simple Inverter Circuit Diagram Using 2N3055 Converts 12 Volts DC to 220 Volts AC - This inverter circuit generates a power of 180 watts, it can be used to power electrical devices as light as radio and TV sets that require power below 180 watts. Power output will be greater if we use a battery that has a greater power, and of course the number of transistors 2N3055 also should be doubled. Transformer used must have a center tap because this circuit works according to the system flip-flop. Transformer capacity determines the output current, use at least a transformer with 5A powers in order to get a good and stable power.

Notes :

  1. Use Tantalum Capacitor for C1 and C2 to avoid overheat if you use regular electrolyte capacitor
  2. Larger resistor wattage is better, but using 1 Watt capacitors are enough for 180W power
  3. Larger T1 power is better, use a 10A trasformer to get higher power and be sure to add double or triple pair of Q1 and Q6 in parallel mode.
